OILS/ LUBRICANTS
RELIABLE, EFFECTIVE AND ENDORSED BY WORLD RENOWNED MUSICIANS
Ultra Pure Oils started in 1990 and started out as a hobby business. Owner Ken Saul was searching for a quality non-toxic valve oil for his trumpet and could not find anything satisfactory. He experimented with various blends of synthetic oils to develop the ideal lubricant for valves: Fast, light, and super-smooth with a little silky feel to it. Long-lasting and odorless. No build-up or staining. In 2000, the Monette Corporation began using Ultra-Pure Professional Valve Oil on their fine trumpets, and the secret was out. Since then, the business has been growing steadily and they have added tuning slide lubes, care kits, and a trombone slide lube to their product line.
Hetman® Musical Instrument Lubricants constitutes an application-specific system of advanced instrument care for the discriminating musician. This system of lubricants was developed to go beyond the limitations of conventional oils and provide a new level of instrument performance and longevity.
Ongoing wear and weakening of the instrument's air seal due to improper lubrication are serious threats to the performing artist. The negative effects include unsure response, diminishing resonance and clarity, erratic intonation, and unreliable action. An extensive research and development project was therefore undertaken to engineer a comprehensive system of lubricants that would satisfy the following criteria:
• Leading Edge Technology - each lubricant embodies the most advanced technology, providing superior, longer-lasting performance, and protection against wear and corrosion.• Application-Specific - each lubricant's viscosity and formulation is designed for its specific application.
• Compatibility - each lubricant is compatible with conventional petroleum-based oils, avoiding potential gumming problems associated with some synthetics.
• Easy Application - each lubricant is packaged with a dispensing system that allows convenient application to the most difficult-to-reach lubrication points.
• Application Guide - an easy-to-follow application guide is available that clearly describes the proper use of each product.
Hetman® Musical Instrument Lubricants achieve the optimum balance between quick action and protection of vital components. Hetman® lubricants are formulated in special viscosity grades that meet the specific requirements of the artist, and best suit the individual character of the artist's instrument. Performers are afforded the feel and confidence of a smooth, consistent action, while the longevity of their treasured instrument is prolonged by the unique formulation of each lubricant.
Hetman® Musical Instrument Lubricants allow superior performance and protection to be realized immediately upon application. Although pre-cleaning is not required, maximum performance and protection is achieved by applying the appropriate Hetman® lubricants to a thoroughly cleaned instrument. The unique formulation of Hetman® Musical Instrument Lubricants provides unprecedented levels of both performance and protection.

practice mutes
Sshhmute (New Zealand) - The sshhmute is made from lightweight, yet hard-wearing, ABS plastic with no parts to break or fall off and it is sold in a convenient soft fabric carry bag.
Perhaps one of the primary benefits of the sshhMute design when compared with other silent mutes, is the very small amount of back-pressure it creates. This allows for better air supply, while still opening and developing the throat muscles. Their mute also remains in tune and faithfully accurate throughout the entire range
Features of the sshhmute
- Gives accurate tuning throughout the range
- Helps develop and open the throat muscles to give better air flow, thus improving the tone
- Has an improved resistance factor, allowing you to extend practice sessions and enhances pitching and accuracy
- Designed to fit into all brands and models of instruments without compromising effectiveness
- It is made from lightweight ABS plastic which will not cause your instrument to feel any heavier when playing
- Helps you warm up before going on stage
- Weighs only 46 grammes (about 18% less than traditional metal mutes)
- Won't dent if you happen to drop it
- Competitively priced, yet offers more benefits than most other mutes

SILVERSTEIN WORKS
FREE THE REED
Create music effortlessly, unrestricted and liberated by the unique design of Silverstein Works ligatures.
Feel what pure reed sound is like. Metal vibrates along with the reed, adding unwanted noise. Metal ligatures have become thinner to try and minimize surface contact as a result. Non-metal ligatures are often too soft to hold the reed tightly in place, while also dampening the sound with an over-abundance of surface contact. They often add metal studs to try and alleviate the problem, once again giving you unnecessary and unwanted noise from metal vibrations. Silverstein Ligatures have the perfect balance of strength to secure the reed and minimize surface contact, while allowing it to fully vibrate with no metal on the reed.
Available for the following instruments in the following sizes
-Clarinet (Small/ Medium)
-Soprano Saxophone (Small/Medium)
-Alto Saxophone (Small/Medium)
-Tenor Saxophone (Small/Medium)
